1st test: India 110-2 in reply to Australia's 428

Pace bowler Mitchell Johnson claimed two quick wickets to peg India back after the home side had made a rapid start in reply to Australia's first innings score of 428 in the first test.

Johnson dismissed both openers Virender Sehwag (59) and Gautam Gambhir (25) as India ended the second day at 110-2.
Earlier, Australia stretched its first innings on Saturday with Tim Paine (92) building on opener Shane Watson's innings of 126.
Paine, who struck 12 fours in his 196-ball knock, added 82 for the seventh wicket with Johnson (47).
Paine played both pace and spin with ease and completed a maiden half-century in only his third test.
He was the ninth man out, falling to Zaheer, who completed his 10th five-for in tests.
