Countering India's pacers key: Clarke

India's pacers key: ClarkeIndianexpress, Shalini Gupta, 24 September 2010
The Australians may have arrived for the current series with a couple of inexperienced bowlers but their batting still boasts of some big names the Indians need to be wary of. With Simon Katich, Michael Hussey and Michael Clarke forming the backbone of the side along with skipper Ricky Ponting, Australia know their batsmen's experience makes up for what is lacking in the pace battery.
But first they have to cope with India's new ball pair of Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma."Playing against India is just a matter of adjusting to the conditions and have good practice. Their quick bowlers like Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma, bowl well both with the new as well as old ball. About the spinners, Harbhajan Singh is outstanding. He knows the wickets well and makes life difficult for the batsmen, but if we can play our best cricket, we can beat them in the series."
"India have home advantage. It is always hard to play them on their home turf, but we have beaten teams on their own grounds," Clarke added.
